At Last!! ...a brown print...and an Empress article!

Ink arrived...

...rolled onto lino block...

...printed onto soaked paper...

Ta Da!

First onto plain paper...

then onto paper that had been sprayed with Brusho.

I much preferred the second so set to work with a scissors...

....and glued the result onto some vellum card.

REALLY pleased with results...

...not too "leafy-looking" ?!

So forward march...

... with the Stretton Sugwas Sampson block :-)

And more news...

My first article for Empress Mills can be found here!!

I'm delighted to have been asked to write for them on a regular basis :-)))))

Enjoy!

Finished..and waiting for brown ink to arrive!!

I've finished the block...

...and have to agree with yesterday's comment that the feathers may now look a bit like leaves!!

But...

...this is a learning curve...

..and we'll see how it turns out...

...when the brown printing ink turns up! :-)

Meantime, I'm doing a couple more sketchbook pages...

...on another church we visited last Saturday...

The other way 'round...and going further..

I did all the necessaries to reverse my Kilpeck Angel...

...and got it transferred onto a new piece of lino.

But...

...I decided to take this one a bit further...

...and put a lot more detail in.

All the wing-feathers should look more like feathers...

...we'll have to wait and see...
