Printing fun....without the sun!!

What a drab....dull....depressing...

....apology for a "summer" we seem to be having here!!!

Grrrrrr!

...and looking at the jet stream forecast, I can't see any respite for this week AGAIN!

Top temperatures 18 or 19 degrees and that's about it!

But,

...never mind she said to herself......

...let's get the printing gear out and have some fun...

..making "summer type things"...

...for a craft fair later in the year :-)))

The first thing that needed to be sorted was some replacement Prayer Flags....

...as mine have been ripped off and tossed to the wind...

so these....

..were done with this beautiful Tibetan hand-carved print block.....

(singles look like this...)

..and larger ones...

...are done on this...even MORE beautiful block!

Happy enough as I was, to get those done, I had been asked to make some bunting for a friend...

..so...

...more print blocks were pressed into service to make these...

and these.....

...and these...

...and then these...

Now, all I've got to do is stitch them onto their tapes!!!!

Oh those Tibetan wood blocks and the prayer flags!
The weather seems half hearted over here too. A winter that feels like Autumn .... which is actually perfect!

I´ve been eyeing print blocks on DaWanda the other day, none as beautiful as yours, though - but feel inspired to try again + get me some... - for me, a summer that feels like autumn is (almost) the best of seasons...;)

This is a lovely prayer flag block. My prayer flags are so worn out already, they don't look nice anymore. I used to print large flags, together with a friend; those flags were about 10x30". Too big for my balcony.

Thanks!

Well, Robyn....autumn in winter is ok...autumn in summer is a swizz!

...but the prayer flags will make everything feel better :-)

Go for it Ger - printing is such fun!

..I like "tasteful" :-) thanks Clare

JP ...aren't they just ...

Eva...these are just the right size for a balcony....they'll be on my terrace at the back (not much bigger than a balcony!)

Maybe we'll get some sun for more printing later on Shelley ;-)
