A blog post....at last!!

Yes. I know...

...it's been a looooooong time since I posted here...

...but times have been:-

a) busy

b) occupying

c) tiring

d) a bit depressing

i'm not going to go into all of this "stuff", but, in short, I was so tired after the stint at sea...

...and then I sort-of "lost my Mojo" a bit...

...got down way too low...

...and had to make some (fairly serious) decisions about how things will be going around here for the for-seeable future.

Nothing too bad...but with elderly relatives needs to take into account, and my blood-sugar levels being absolute gits...

...I have to make some changes.

No-one is going to grant me a 72 hour day, so I have to cut-my-cloth to fit the hours that I have and therefore some things have to be put on hold.

Decision made.

Feel SO much better for it.

Now to KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON!!!!!

Anyways...

...I shan't bore you with all of the photos I took while on my bobbings-around, but, for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere who are feeling a bit chilly...

...this was Barbados...

35 degrees

...and I went swimming with turtles!!

It was all quite an experience and I have some wonderful memories to keep me warm through the drizzly, dark, dull, grey December here at home.

We sorted out the flue for the stove today, ready for the really chilly weather when it turns up.

The tree is up and decorated...

...concert to go to on the 20th...

...Winter Solstice Supper on the 22nd...

...and new toys to play with over Christmas!! :-)

(Who's been to Create and Craft and Hobbycraft then?!)

Just finished another book sample...

...will show and tell in a few days...

Nice to be back!!

wonderful travelings ... turtles round your body ... must give you lots of inspiration for next weeks ... and indeed, when not enough time, unfortunately you've got to cut in projects ...know the frustrating feeling, but the body is important ! nice to hear you're well. have nice festive days to come :-)

Thanks Carol. Merry Christmas to you too.

So very, very nice to have you back!!! A teaching trip like that must have been exhausting, in spite of swimming in Barbados (we all envy you that). Take good care of yourself -- both physically and spirit wise. Welcome home!!

So there you are! Was wondering where you'd got to. Sounds like a bit of self-care is required. Have you ever come across a sweet little word that's surprisingly hard to say ....... NO! Say it to yourself now, NO! Got it? Right, carry on. Sending love, Anne B
