...लोटस ऑफ़ लित्तले bits

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

It's doing it AGAIN!

That title SHOULD say....."Lot's of little bits".....geeeez

Anyway, at least the words are ok HERE! :-)))

...and lots of little bits have been getting done, despite most of my time now being taken up dyeing, skeining, packaging, labeling... etc

I've been playing around with painting some little landscapes onto calico...

I really like the result!.....

...and will now do a small amount of stitching and beading on them...

...don't want to clutter the soft effect with too much embellishment.

Completed a bit more mokume shibori...

...and dyed up some silk and cotton threads.....

...to use on a series of "long cloth" pieces based on "strata".

I'm going to include some "sedimentary" bits in these ....

..Welsh slate pieces...drilled ready to experiment with :-)

Indulgences have been a feature recently too...

..a delicious little bundle from Lisa Jurist at Mudhound Studio!

After my holiday meeting with Carolyn, I decided to do a bit more collage than I have done in recent times...

...and I just HAD to have one of these to make a start :-)

Oh, I thought that Hindi was fun... Go to "settings" in the blogger design area, scroll down to "enable transliteration" and find out if the option is "enable" -- it should be "disable" unless you want to title Hindi. -- Very subtle coloring lately! And what an interesting shibori.

Rachel...I seem to have a liking for things linear...filling in the bits between lines is a very enjoyable pastime :-)

Suztats....collage and stitch ...I'm sure the two will get together at some time!

Penny....I'm being "subtle" with some of my colour choices lately....

...as is pointed out by Eva...who always looks so carefully :-)

...and THANKS for that tip!....no more Hindi in the post titles then :-)))))

Thank YOU Lisa...for the lovely little package...all I've got to do now is stop thinking how beautiful it is...and actually take it apart :-o

Oh, the colours and the textures are to dye for!

I've always loved muted tones, but haven't done much stitching with them. Guess I should give it a try. I really like the panels and dyed threads in the strata. Can't wait to see more of them.

Oh Chris, I have been away from blogland for far too long...just look what you have going on here, a real treat for the eyes. I appreciate the way you post close-ups because I like to think maybe I can learn from the way you are always "filling in the bits between lines." What tapestry-like jewels!

p.s. I could get into some serious trouble over at Mudhound's place with those bundles...your fault :>}
