....adding a silk carrier rod....

I decided to add one of these strange little things....

....they dye beautifully...

...and are very textural....

...but, I have to admit to having been a bit stuck on just how to use them :-o

I'm spending some time with my sewing machine over the next couple of days...

...so who knows what'll happen next!

(Check out some new stuff on my Mabon Arts blog posted today :-)))

i am the same with silk carrier rods.. I like how you've integrated yours and the color is rich and delicious.

I just finished an art quilt i'll post this week that i used a silk carrier rod all tied up with ribbons and beads.

Likewise - I like them but they often don't look 'right' when I use them. Yours looks lovely.

Just discovered you. I really like your strata and the subtle painted backgrounds. Lovely

I, too, tend to find myself looking at carrier rods wondering what to do. But they fit in beautifully with your theme of stratification.
