...playing hooky...

It's been a pretty hectic 10 days...

...what with labeling and boxing-up...

...bagging and packing...

..and then driving to St Donat's Castle again...

.... for Christmas Crafts this time.

Sunday morning was bright..

...but the weather station was showing -7, and my fingers certainly got cold getting all the stuff into the back of the car!

It was well worth it though...

.. a lovely day all 'round.

I did try to take some photos of the stands, but the place was quite dark...

...and absolutely stuffed full of people, who, by the end of the day...

..were likely to be seen wearing various animal woolly-hats from the Nepalese guys on the next stall!

I had considered having a jaunt up to Llanelwedd on Monday..

..for the Royal Welsh Winter Fair...

...but weather conditions are not the best right now, and we decided to stay put!

No matter...

...Christmas presents are now being made at last! :-)

I love the little stuffed houses that appear all over blogland...

...and so set to work with the sewing machine.

(I like having all these fancy stitches to play with...like a kid with a new toy!!)

I've already started stitching them together...

...so will be stuffing like mad this evening. :-)

And just WHERE does the "hooky" bit come in you ask...

...well, that's THIS bit!

Crochet! I LOVE CROCHET!!!!!

...especially when it's all cosy with the fire going in the evening...

...so I started some bits with flowers in fine yarn...

..along with some granny squares in a lovely soft cotton...

..all made with hooks that live in this lovely little pot :-)))

There's lots more going on....

...but the buzzer has buzzed....

...and my sprout and bean gratin is therefore ready to consume.

Keep warm and happy....
