...Page 2.....



Finished Page 2 this afternoon. This time I used some symbolism from an old sketchbook that focussed on Old European belief systems.

I kept to much the same colour scheme as Page 1 - Yellow background, complemented with purple, which turns to a lovely rich brown when painted on top! Kooh-I-Noor dyes are great for this - especially on this fairly lightweight watercolour paper.

Again, scraps of fabric and "pequins" - all tied-up with hand stitch....


I'm enjoying this journey......

...discovery and re-discovery.....

The signs seem to be runes... Very nice and mysterious.

Runes they are indeed!

I've just cut a full FUTHARK in lino for printing/embossing too - plus a set of OGHAM, the Celtic Tree Alphabet....
