Something a bit different..

Came across this photo CD whilst looking for something else (as you do!). These are some of the last major series of work that I did when I was in France. They are mixed-media pieces with silk paper, hand-cast paper, wire, clay etc etc etc.

I cut about 200 print blocks of an imagined alphabet - then used them to impress in air-drying clay to make the central focus. These blocks have also been used to print on fabrics, and are now finding their way into my "Tribal Cloth" work.

These never photographed very well - too dimensional. But I think you can get an idea of what they look like.

There ended up being over 40 pieces in all - and I'm aiming for about the same with the current work. No pressure ..........
