Back to stitching...

I've been a bit distracted with other things these last few days...

...but I made myself sit down and continue with the block prints that I had been working on previously.

These latest Colouricious blocks are giving me so many ideas...

...and I'm having such fun doing all the twiddly bits!

The bead tray is calling.....

Happy Tuesday lovely people

#4

Back to yellows and greens...

...but with some beautiful, fluted bugle beads this time.

These are about 6mm long...

...and I put a size 11 bead at the end of each...

...before doing some metallic thread stitching in between.

Finally I added some red beads on the printed area...

...just to add a little something...

...and even MORE Christmas printing!!

I've pulled a few more blocks out of my delicious Colouricious Christmas block box...

...and printed some extra bits and bobs.

And YES...

...there IS a plan!! :-)

Summer Sketchbooks #4

I wasn't going to...

...but, you know how it is...

...just couldn't resist...

...doing a little bit of printing!!

I wanted some of the images the other way around...

...so if you look carefully...

...you'll see a kind of "ghost" image behind the main print.

I did these by printing onto freezer paper...

...then placing the print down onto the fabric and gently rubbing it to transfer the image.

I was really happy with the way they turned out!

I know I could have used a Gelli-Plate...

...but the freezer paper required less clean-up...

...and I didn't have to hunt for it either!!

Maybe I'll even do a bit of stitching tomorrow...

...or should I be packing?
