Let us spray.....

Working a little smaller at the minute....

...preparing some Vilene brooch backs to work on while I'm away.

Painted first, then sprayed with metallic Brusho sprays.

Those of you that read my ramblings regularly may remember these....

....made with the same Vilene base and collaged with beautiful Laurel Burch fabrics & gilding flakes.

Don't know yet what will go on the new bases.....

...depends on what takes my fancy I suppose :-)

...another one...

...a little Aztek design again...

It's good to have little things to play with...

...when BIG things feel a bit too much to handle!! :-o

...a lost week...

After picking up a bug and feeling pretty crappy for a few days...

...I did at least manage to get to Busy Bees and do my Magic Lantern workshop last Saturday.

But then...

...two days later....

...another little blighter attached itself and I've lost the whole of this week because of being so incapable that i've had to be in bed a lot of the time :-(

Damned thing has gone onto my chest and I'm rattling like a dice-cup.

Feeling crappy again too...

..especially because I've got so much to get done and time stops for no bug!

Been up in the workroom for the first time this morning...

Just a little gee-gee pendant to show for now...

Hope you are all having a better time than I am at the minute....

See you in a couple of days (hopefully with a bit more done by then)

..a clutch of brooches...

Exactly what IS the collective term...

...for a number of brooches!!?

I quite like the word "clutch"...

...so that's what I'll use :-)

Done some time ago, but now in my shop

I've been working on some new pendant pieces too...

...here's a sneak peek...

More later...

Laurel Burch and Vilene - the perfect partnership!!

Here are some new jewellery pieces...

...finished, ready for sale.

Vilene bases with painted Bondaweb, gilding flakes and fabric additions.

These remind me of neolithic "eye goddess" images (Marija Gimbutas)....

...and on this one too....

I just KNEW that I had to have those Laurel Burch fat quarters!!

Ha!! Another "frivolous" purchase is justified!!!!

(Well.....I think so......:-))))))

Tea & stitching....plus French Report part 3!

That bug has finally begun to bid it's farewell...

...and I've managed to get myself into the workspace and DO something!

I sorted out a basket of bits and made a good start on some new brooches...

...there's also been some experimentation with the Laurel  Burch fabrics on a Vilene base....

(These should be all wired-up into earrings by the weekend!)

And, of course, there has been tea!

A little beauty called "The du l'Abbaye"...

...intensely flowery and delicious....

...being drunk out of a very fine tea cup from Limoges....

...that looks like a sea-urchin with all it's little bobbly-bits!

I was VERY pleased with this find.....

It cost me 75 Euro-cents in the NOZ!!!! (Noz is one of those bankrupt stock type shops where you NEVER know WHAT you're going to find. If you are ever in France and see one on the edge of town. STOP! ....and go inside. You could come out with an absolute treasure for almost nothing :-)

The tea came from a lovely shop in Colmar....

Have a wander with me.....

(Sorry about the paw in that one...it was so bright, the sun made taking photos a bit difficult!)

I find this town quite magical!

...and there are a number of stitching projects lurking around in the camera...

...just waiting for their time to come.....

(I have a sneaky feeling that the last one here might get an airing before TOO long though......:-)))))
