"La Creperie"

Over on FB a couple of days ago....

...I posted a few piccies of some houses in Alsace....

...and explained that I was working on a new project for my Cardiff Quilters workshop.

I had a real job to decide what kind of building to do....

...house? ....shop?.... restaurant?.....

Difficult....but food won out....

...and "La Creperie" was born!

I did the design on paper....

...transferred it to the background fabric....

...then did the applique and machine stitching....

This time I stitched the writing too. (Previously I'd used iron-on transfer paper)

A bit time consuming....but worth the effort methinks!

Now all I have to do is ga-zillions of French Knots underneath all the windows like this.....

...then put it all together and stuff!

One....two....three.....four................

Have a great weekend and half term holiday. :-)

..too many French knots?....

NEVER!!

I find it almost impossible to do just a few...

...and the front of this little house called for LOADS of them :-)

All of the hand stitching is now finished...

...and it will now be given its roof...

...and then stuffed.
