OK...
...Saturday 29th August we flew out to Marseilles to get onboard "Voyager".
Got there a little bit late because of someone's lost luggage, and no photos taken as the port wasn't very inspiring!
Sunday 30th we were at sea...and my first workshop session took place with 22 participants...
A GOOD start!!
Everyone had their packs of Travel Journals and began tucking into the suitcase-full of starter materials that I had lugged on the plane with me. Photos to follow in Part 2 or 3...
Monday 31st - Cagliari - Sardinia
..a beautiful city with some gorgeous old buildings.
My first ever Sardinian Espresso was everything I expected...
...and a traditional Sardinian lunch delighted the tastebuds and the belly!!
Tuesday 1st September - Trapani - Sicily
...and a bus trip to the medieval town of Erice.
Spectacular church vaulted ceilings with changing colours...
...delightful little fizzoggs everywhere...
...and THAT view over Trapani!!
Wednesday 2nd September - Syracuse - Sicily (a bit hazy first thing...)
...and my Man's Birthday!!
Delicious lunch...
...and a birthday cake with candles delivered by these gorgeous boys :-o
We found a special surprise inside our cabin too...
...a pair of snuggling swans (made out of towels by our cabin steward EDGAR)
...and a card signed by the Captain. :-)))
Awwwwww! Sweeeeet!!
Still feeling tired even after being back for 3 days ...
...will continue the journey tomorrow...
