Summer School fun! - Warning...lots of piccies!!

I had such a wonderful time at Bishop Burton College...

...at the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Summer School!

I got there the night before (after a 6 hour drive!)...

...and when settling in was done, went out for an evening meal with the lovely Linda Miller...

...who was to end up in the workshop room opposite me.

We had our breakfast in the staff canteen on Friday morning and then went to set up our respective rooms...

...ready for the afternoon arrival of 44 delightful and eager ladies :-)

Friday saw everyone launching into their projects...

...my ladies being easily recognizable at dinner as the ones with multi-coloured hands...

...thanks to using Brusho to get their backgrounds done ready for Saturday...

...when table-tops began to look really interesting!!

I had asked everyone to bring special items/treasured bits to use as a personal theme for their books...

...and before long some beautiful pages were appearing.

This lovely stitched church was done by Sandra from the City of York Guild...

...who also brought along a finished Tribal Cloth panel that she'd started at my workshop with them in March!

PROUD!!!

By the end of workshop time on Sunday everyone had beautiful creations in front of them...

...which were put on display so that members of the other groups could come and see what everyone else had been doing.

A few examples from Jenny Adin-Christie's group...

Just see how much fun THEY were having!! :-)

This was some of the work done in Nicola Hulme's workshop...

...and these were done with Linda Miller...

Congratulations to everyone for creating such beautiful work!!

Thanks to Pauline Heywood and the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Committee for inviting me to teach at this delightful event.

...and here's looking forward to the next time!! :-)
