Tri-fold book #2 - "Silken Treasures"

I enjoyed my previous tri-fold adventure so much that I've decided to continue with the format...

...and do many, many more!

As I said in my last post, working smaller will enable me to explore themes...

...but allow more projects to reach the "finished" stage.

(A few too many have never, ever got there!!)

So....

...following on from my recent travels....

...I've been playing around with silk...

...and thinking about how it has been prized by mankind for so long.

I have many beautiful pieces that I've collected over the years.....

...my "treasures" that get taken out and stroked every-so-often...

...but then put away again!

Now is their time.....

I've printed some hand-dyed papers with Hmong designs....

(Print blocks from Colouricious)

...and prepared some 140lb watercolour paper with gesso, block prints and Brusho sprays.

Also sorted some of my Silk Route fabric and made some yo-yos for decoration.

The first page is almost done.....

...just need to do something pretty with a few coffee stirrers! :-)

Have a great weekend.
