A Tale of Two Destiinations - Part 2

As promised (although a day late....sorry)

...here are some more photos of the "Indian Adventure" workshop at Stirling Summer School.

These few days from Wednesday evening to Friday afternoon were really Bollywood!

Lots of noise and chatter....bright colour....experimentation.....and giggles.

A Tale of Two Destinations - Part 1

First of all...

...very sorry not to have posted before now, but...

...been a wee bitty busy!! :-)

I've had the most wonderful time up here in Stirling (and elsewhere round and about as well)

...with the lovely ladies of the Scottish Region of the Embroiderers Guild...

...at their Summer School.

It was a tiring 5 days, but soooooo well worth it!

The accommodation and food was excellent...

...and the company even better.

It all started off on Wednesday evening with my first group for "Indian Adventure"

...and what an adventure it was...

...loads and loads of lovely fabrics and prints...

...followed by stitching, stenciling, glueing etc

Indian Adventure (1) - Tri-Fold Book Workshop Sample - Finished!!

At last the sample book is finished!!

After many hours of stitching and embellishing...

...followed by glueing and painting...

..."Indian Adventure (1)" is done...

...ready for it's first outing with Lingen Stitchers next Monday. :-)

(This would normally be at least a 2-day workshop, but I'm sure I can get them far enough down the creative path that they can finish off at home afterwards! :-)

I've used hand-dyed calico...

...printed with my very favourite Colouricious wooden print blocks...

...and, as you can see...

...the results are just lovely!

(Well I think so anyway!)

Finished off with some of my hand-made "Lava Beads".

I'm running this workshop over a weekend "Chez Moi" in July.

That one is already full...but I will run another one at some time, along with another Medieval Tile one... so let me know if you are interested.
