Sunday 24 March 2019

It's been a busy March.....

As you know......I had a stand at Aiguille en Fete in Paris early in the month.

We left home with the caravan on Sunday 3rd.....in order to sail Monday 4th.....

...but...

...had a tyre blow on the M25....

...so missed our scheduled ferry.

Got to the other side at Dunkirk as opposed to Calais....

...managed a few hours sleep (just as well)...

...before becoming stranded in the carpark of Leclerc at Boulogne with a burnt/shredded caravan tyre after the suspension/motor-mover had become displaced....as we now know....at the petrol station in Dover!

We had to find a garage that would be willing to deal with a caravan...and, that done....we left our Rosa in Montreuil....and stayed in a gypsy caravan on our campsite in Paris so that we could continue with the show the next day!!

Set up was somewhat stressful but we did it...

...and the show went well (Thank the gods).

We met some lovely people....

...and came back with a lot less stock...

...and a book contract!

YEY!

Lots of work to be done....but happy to do it! :-)

My girls!

Tile panels...

Scroll pockets...

Chantal :-)

Three lovely embroiderers...

Chantal James doing her Bayeux Tapestry work...

We managed to get back into our caravan on the Monday after the show...

...and had a more restful week at Montreuil.

Hope the next one is less eventful :-o
