..headless chickens....

...just about sums up how I feel somedays!

After having teeth out yesterday, I've got a painkiller hangover and STILL my cheek is very sore. There's always a problem....because the roots on my teeth are hooked over and therefore take a lot of twisting and tugging to get out. :-(

All I can manage to do is a bit of work on this cross-stitch sample...

.....that's based on an old european design...

Oh this is lovely. I have a 19th century album of linen embroidery patterns, an this one is very similar. It looks as if it was easy to design such patterns; I tell you it isn't.

I love these designs...but, as you say Eva, simple they are NOT! I'm in awe of those women who first came up with them.

Thanks for the well-wishing ladies....hopefully I won't need quite so many painkillers tonight :-o

pour chicken without head :-), yet, and poor chris who needs painkillers. Those old embroidery patterns are indeed still very modern-looking!

Thanks for all those good wishes...maybe that's why I had a good night's sleep and feel much better this morning!

I'm hoping to finish this little piece either today or tomorrow.....
