..and a bit more...

Here's the next bit done...

...the printed panel...

...and the Henna Goddess....now stitched.

I'm now not sure that I want that bit of blue in there.

I think I'd prefer something..........else....

i like the indigo and henna combo but maybe on a more yellowed background. is the henna permanent? i always thought it faded over time.

...I think the yellow background idea is a good one...I'll use it in the next piece :-)

..henna fades on skin...

..but lasts on cloth.

There are some haiks/shawls/blankets going back to the mid-1800s ..and the designs are as fresh as the day they were done..

I like the indigo .....unless you made it a duller hue .... more slate blue. I do love the black piece with the design.

I was thinking about the indigo, too. It also might be refreshing to expand the palette. Any colour combination becomes acceptable or even pretty if you repeat it here and there. In this way, it shows the artist's intention.

My first reaction is that I like the blue...to me, it feels like *blue sky above* and it encourages the other colors to stand out - gives them a kind of weight. Eva's thought about repetition intrigues me tho...

Gads, this feels dumb to say these things. Your "else" will triumph, I am sure of it.

Thanks for all input!...I've decided to go with Jude's "yellowed" idea in the next piece...

...and Eva's suggestion for "repeats" to be incorporated.

I'll overdye a bit of indigo to make a more "slate" colour too...just to try out ideas...

..and put in a "blue sky" section at some point...

The "something else" in this piece, though.....is not blue ;-)

..it should be finished Saturday...
