..another couple of panels....

..finished!

These are done on some of the fabric pieces that I dyed last week.

Again, not too much stitching.....

..rather allowing the piece to form itself.....

...around itself.

I've managed to find some ostrich egg-shell beads at last!

Only a few (86 actually)...but will be used with consideration to make them last :-)

In the same packet were some lovely coral pieces.....in a luscious gold/bronze colour...now just WHAT are THEY going to do for something :-)))))

...and I have had mega-luck in the charity shops.....

....finding some REAL necklaces to use for beads...

(rather than those awful plastic things with the beads stuck onto the string!)

I'm still looking for "unusual" things to use too....

...so this is a good place to introduce an ESSENTIAL part of the kit of any embroiderer.....

...hee hee heee...........

Play time!

My eyes are sparkling! LOvely images and your banner is wonderful! Great effect , the long pieces sewn on. What is that thing next to the hammer? It looks like a sharpening stone. Glad you found some ostrich egg shell beads.

a wonderful simple stitching. Sightly Aboriginal, rather African but definitely original! x

The thing by the hammer is a small anvil....quite sweet really...for something that's got a weight to it.

...and the simple stitching seems to work...

Aboriginal?...African?....

...a tribal feel.....

What a great collection of material! This really begs to be used, and I'm sure you will surprise us. You seem to be in a creative flow, and the results are so great. Isn't that a wonderful feeling?!
