Back home...for a little while!

It's been a hectic few weeks all in all....

...but I've really enjoyed meeting lots of lovely people...

...making new friends...

...and catching up with old ones!

Anyways...

...after my sessions with the York Guild...

...I shifted a bit south to West Bridgeford to do another talk and workshop.

Again, we were treated to a visit by Christine Poole and her husband David...

...who just happened to be set-up on the same little campsite as moi!!

The talk was very well attended, and the workshop was really delightful!!

Some gorgeous work was done......

Well done the ladies of West Bridegford!! :-)

...and thanks to Kath Owen for arranging it all!

After the workshop, I belted back to the Gladdyvan and got hooked up so that I could head-off to Lincolnshire for a workshop with the Lincoln Guild.

This was being taught by Dee and Joan, and the subject was Medieval Illuminated letters using tissue and tea bags!! What fun!!!

Here are some samples...

The Lincoln EG are having a very special event day on the 11th April - being held at The Hardy Building, Bishop Grossteste University in Lincoln. Go along if you can, there will be lots to see and you'll be sure of a great welcome!1

After a tiring couple of weeks away, I had a few days to relax before going down to Cardiff to my very own quilting group "Cardiff Quilters" to give a talk at the AGM (which I actually managed to miss completely because I thought it was in the afternoon not the morning!) Still, I got there in time for lunch and my talk went ok (I think?!).

I have some time before my next away-fixture, and I fully intend to make the most of it!!

I'm off to take some "medieval inspiration" photos over the Easter hols...

...watch this space!1 :-)

Hurrah for York!!

Well!!

I've had a wonderful few days here...

...with some equally wonderful ladies!

First of all the talk on Saturday...

...graced by the presence of Christine Poole - Chair of the Guild...

...accompanied, as ever by the lovely David Poole - husband extraordinaire...

..who was given the job of official "talk photographer" :-)

This was followed by a workshop all day on Sunday...

...where 15 ladies slooshed around paint and then settled to stitch for the afternoon!!

Some piccies of the fun and some results too...

Off to Nottingham tomorrow....

...West Bridgeford Embroiderers....

...here I come!!
